Back in May when Reeko finished his medication from the vet, things started to change.

He start to itch and slowly it turned into dandruff-like flakes. I wasn’t sure what caused it, it might have been the medication or the change of diet. But things didn’t get better. He started whining every time he came back from morning walks. He would hide in 1 corner to whine and scratch so badly that I thought he had an anxiety problem. I even brought him to the vet to check for anxiety problems.

At the end of August, the condition got so bad that he was losing fur all around his body, and he would chew himself till he bleeds. In order to keep him form biting any part of his body, I had to get an E-collar so big that it’d probably fit a large dog. At the same time, I visited two grooming salons. According to them, they would be able to help his condition, which is also when I got him shaved.

Due to the lack of explanation from their side, and the way they took care of Reeko during his healing program, I decided not to go back only after 1 session.

I came across Petopia’s website, and I decided to give it a try since I have nothing more to lose.

I met up with Marcus during my first visit to Petopia, he also showed me around the premises and explained Reeko’s skin condition to me. I like the fact that I was able to see how they conduct his spa session. I signed the spa package, partly because I was at wit’s end and partly because this is a place that I feel I can trust.

Even though the recovery process was long, it took him roughly 10 sessions to be near full recovery. Along the way, I could see that he was getting more comfortable, no longer hiding in small confined places and the dandruff slowly disappeared.

As the sessions went on, Reeko started to rest at his usual places, rolling around the bed every morning and sun tanning after breakfast. These are his usual activities which he hasn’t been able to do for months.

Now, I leave my house in confidence without putting an E-collar on him and he has all his fur back without bald spots.

Thank you Petopia :)

Clay Pack Far Infra-red Therapy

Infra-red energy is known to penetrate tissue to depth of over 2.5cm on animal companions. Of note is that the Infra-red radiant energy output is actually tuned to correspond closely to a companion’s own radiant energy, so that body tissues absorb close to 93% of the infra-red waves that reach the skin.

The tissues in your animal companions’ bodies, in need of an infra-red boost, will selectively absorb infra-red rays. The tissue will only use the infra-red rays in areas where is is needed. After boosting a tissue’s infra-red energy, the remaining rays pass onward harmlessly.

As far Infra-red energy is absorbed, it increases fundamental energy by exciting molecules of various cells. With cells being ‘excited’, blood flow is increased and with it, nutrition is delivered and that literally cleans out the toxins and accumulated fats. Obviously this facilitates and accelerates natural healing and increases cellular integrity. Tissues in our animal companion normally produce infra-red energy for warmth and tissue repair. Not withstanding the objective of keeping warm, tissue production of infra-red energy is also associated with a variety of healing responses.

Exclusively at Petopia, Far Infra-Red Therapy when coupled with our clay pack wraps and Ultrasonic Ozone Spa sessions, are beneficial for treating a broad spectrum of skin conditions often contracted in the tropics, which include:
